The process of placing dental implants has numerous steps, which usually take between 6 and 9 months to finish. Firstly, a titanium rod is surgically placed where a preceding natural tooth root once was. The gums are sewed shut over the implant, for a few months while they heal and begin blending with the adjoining bone. You’ll be sedated and/or anesthetized for the duration of the treatment due to the duration and nature of the treatment. Once the surgical site has healed, you will be fitted for permanent crowns and have the rods placed.
